Meet our Manager of Sports and Recreation,

Gilbert Vega

Gilbert brings over 7 years of experience in business development and has over 20 years of experience in baseball as a player and coach. Gilbert is a graduate of Kutztown University where he attained his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Management. During his time at KU, he was a member of the 2010 Atlantic Regional Championship team. They would go on to participate in the College World Series that year. He would later play in Puerto Rico’s Liga de Béisbol Superior Doble A where he finished 2nd on the team in total strikeouts as a Pitcher in 2017. He is currently entering his 5th year as an Assistant Coach in the NCAA with Penn State Harrisburg where he works with the outfielders and helps train players on the base paths.

During these unprecedented times, Coach Vega has been busy providing you LEAP Virtual Lessons and Wellness Wednesday videos. Pretty soon we will be launching baseball clinics, basketball clinics, and much more! He is currently pioneering efforts to bring Field Hockey to the inner city and already has 10 participants!

Gilbert is also a proud Brother of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Incorporated’s Pennsylvania Alumni Chapter. Their values and pillars are academic excellence, cultural awareness and diversity, brotherhood and being a role model to the community.

Gilbert is the founder and creator of Intent Baseball LLC and Vega Visual Media LLC. A resident of Philadelphia where he lives with his wife and two children, Gilbert enjoys spending time with his family and traveling whenever possible.
