About Summer Camp
We offer engaging summer camp program for pre-school children from June 28 through August 13!
The Lighthouse will offer your child the right combination of both fun and learning! Our team of kid camp specialists will provide your child with a variety of fun-filled educational hands-on experiences. Our professional staff are screened and have all their clearances plus they are creative and caring! Summer is one of the most exciting times of the year for pre-school children and every year the kids in our summer camp program have a great time. The children will experience fun-filled days through a balanced approach to self-discovery and learning, active play and rest, as well as indoor and outdoor experiences taking into account each child’s needs. A substantial portion of the day will include opportunities for active, hands-on discovery in all areas of the classroom as well as the outdoors.

Families with children who are currently enrolled in Headstart and Before and After Care programs should talk to their teacher and Family Advocates about signing up for the program.
Program fees include:
$25 non-refundable registration (Camp T-shirt, Water Bottle and bag)
Early Bird Weekly Fee registered before May 14th, 2021: $150
Includes nutritious meals and snacks daily
Supplies for activities and programs
Regular Fee $180 (Private Pay)

Exciting Weekly Themes
This year’s summer camp experience will have specific weekly themes. We will be celebrating the fine arts as well as the art of storytelling. Hands-on experiences, interesting discussions, performances, and creative activities and games will provide a camp environment focused on personal growth, enrichment, and FUN!
Week 1: All About Me:
(Introduction to Camp)
Our Teachers will introduce our students and families to our summer camp environment. The students will have this chance to introduce themselves and learn more about their teachers and peers.
Week 2: “All Around the World”:
Each class will be assigned a country and will use this opportunity to learn about the land, culture and foods during this week.
Week 3: “Beach and Seashells” :
During this week our campers will learn explore characteristics of the beach and ocean and summer weather
Week 4: “ Bubbles Theme”:
During this week our campers will explore various “STEAM “ways of making bubbles with various materials that we use every day!
Week 5 “Bugs, Bees, and Butterflies”:
During this week our campers will explore and learn about the various insects that we see during the summer months.
Week 6: “Let’s go Camping” :
During this week our campers will learn and use their imagination about what is seen and done when you go camping.
Week 7: “Fun at the Farm”:
Our campers will learn about what is done on the farm during the summer months by exploring what crops grow, how the farm animals are important, and the important roles of the farmers.
Week 8: “Field Day”(Fun and Whacky Days) Education Specialists will provide Teachers with the daily themes.
Music Monday- (The student will use crafts to create an instrument)
Taco Tuesday- (The students will “make” tacos for lunch on this day.)
Whacky Wednesday- (The staff and students will come to school dressed “Whacky”)
Artsy Thursday- (The students will create their own masterpieces out of various materials.)
Family Fun Friday- (It will be a fun filled day for our staff, families and children as we close camp.)
